The Beach

Sandy, wide beach with shallow crystal waters.

If you are travelling to Zakynthos, Alykanas, it means that you are going to spend many hours enjoying the sun and the sea.
​
The Beach is sandy and it makes a perfect spot to spend your day.
You can either lay on the sand or if you prefer you can choose the sunbeds with umbrellas. You will be able to find tavernas and snack bars so you can enjoy your day with all the facilities.

The water is crystal clear and quite shallow making it a very safe spot for adults and kids. Families can enjoy a relaxed day on the beach while children can play in these safe waters.
Rarely you will get to see some waves as our beach is located on a bay and it is protected from strong currents.​

The bay will give you also different points of view...
So as you walk to the harbor you will get to see the majestic mountains over the sea creating a beautiful panorama, and if you walk in the opposite direction you get to see the open wide ocean meeting the sky.

From the Alykanas Beach you can "say hello" to our neighbor island - Kefalonia. In clear days you might get to see The Peloponnese also.

The sunset can be quite impressive @ Alykanas Beach. The Sun is disappearing behind the mountains and is creating so wonderful colors on the sky and on the sea that it is quite difficult to be caught on camera. Swimming as the sun is setting would be a unique experience and it will give you the opportunity of beautiful photoshooting and memories.

No wonder Alykanas is a favorite beach for wedding ceremonies.
It is a beautiful scenery and many people choose this spot to say "I Do" 💕​

You will find this flower on our beach and if so, please be aware that it is protected by Greek and international legislation. So you can admire it, you can take a photo of it but please do not touch or harm it in any way.

The Lily of the Sea

If you walk in Old Alykanas you can discover a second beach.
​
That would take about 20 min of walking from the center of Alykanas.
On your walk there you'll get to know a more traditional part of Alykanas and beautiful as well.
